Q. Who will be cleaning my home?
A. Once you’re assigned your personal OCDiva, you will typically have the same one each time. We know that employee turnover is frustrating in any business, so we emphasize the relationship our OCDiva’s have with their clients. This builds comfort and efficiency for us in our routines and comfort for you that you can always expect the same OCDiva to handle your personal cleaning preferences. Of course people take vacations and things happen, but we do our best to stay consistent.

Q. What should I do with my pets?
A. We love pets and our cleaners look forward to seeing them! If your pets don’t like strangers or are likely to be stressed, you may want to keep them somewhere secure and out of the way on cleaning day. Otherwise, feel free to let them roam about your house as they normally would. Please note though that we cannot be responsible for your pets while we’re there.

Q. Do I need to ‘pre-clean’ before my OCDiva’s arrive?
A. For the sake of time effectiveness, it’s recommended that you pick up toys, laundry, and other daily items ahead of time. However, if that is a job you would like us to do, we can certainly do it.

Q. Will you be using my cleaning supplies and equipment?
A. OCDiva’s always come prepared and bring their own supplies and equipment. If you have allergies or sensitivities to cleaning supplies please make us aware so we can make other arrangements. Or, if you have a specific cleaner you’d like us to use, we can do that too.

Q. Do I need to be home while you’re cleaning?
A. Most people choose not to be home while we’re cleaning. If you would like to stay home until you’re comfortable with your personal OCDiva we welcome your company. We do recommend that you be home the first time you meet your OCDiva so you can familiarize them with your home and your cleaning preferences.

Q. What if I can’t be home when my OCDiva gets there?
A. You may either leave a key in a secure location or provide us with a code for your garage or front door. Please note that if we cannot gain entrance there will be a fee.

Q. Should I tip my OCDiva? And if yes, how much?
A. Tips are always appreciated, but never expected. However, it is a nice gesture and goes a long way to passing along a bit of gratitude toward the people who care for your home. As with hairdressers or servers, anything from 10%-20% is customary, although any amount is welcome. You can include it with your payment, or leave cash in a clearly-marked envelope to bring an immediate smile to your cleaners’ faces. Please note that we instruct our cleaners not to touch any cash lying around since it might not be intended for them. That’s why placing your cash tip inside a clearly-marked envelope or with a Post-it note lets the cleaner know the money is definitely meant for them. It’s also a thoughtful option to consider leaving your regular cleaning technician a bonus for the holiday season, at the end of the year, or for their birthday.

Q. Do you do laundry, dishes, or change sheets?
A. We can perform any cleaning task that you would like us to with the exceptions noted below. Your personal OCDiva is there to take care of you and make your life easier. Because of the amount of time laundry takes, we recommend signing up for our “Laundry and Light Clean” service.

Q. How do I pay for your services?
A. In order to book your first appointment you will need to place a card on file. This can be done over the phone or through our secure Online Client Concierge. Your service will be charged once it is complete.

Q. What if my OCDiva misses something we had agreed upon?
A. We offer a 24 Hour Clean Guarantee. If your OCDiva misses a spot or something you felt should have been cleaned, please notify us within 24 hours and it will be corrected for no additional charge.

Q. Is there a contract to sign?
A. For residential homes there are never any contracts to sign. If you are on a regular cleaning schedule and wish to cancel our services we ask for at least a 2 week advance notice.

Q. Is there anything you don’t clean?
A. We do not perform the following cleaning tasks:

  • Highly valuable or fragile collections such as figurines, china, or antiques (items that could not be easily replaced)
  • Carpet cleaning above and beyond vacuuming
  • Move furniture or large appliances
  • Outdoor/garage cleaning
  • Cleaning up after your pets – this includes litter boxes.
  • High cleaning above 2 steps on a ladder

We have a network of professionals that we have tried and tested in a number of different service areas and are happy to provide recommendations for who we trust.
